TRANSITIONAL LIVING

On average it takes 5 years for a person to recover from active addiction once they are introduced to treatment and decide to get clean and sober.

The average length of treatment, which includes medical detoxification, therapeutic treatment and re-socialization, is 30 days. The question is: how is someone being supported on their journey toward getting their life back the other 1,795 days?

Working Recovery fills in this crucial missing piece with transitional living and additional resources (job training, resume composition, job interview training, work therapy and client mentoring) to support long-term recovery.

The transition from a structured residential setting can be challenging and a sober living environment can help cultivate life skills such as financial responsibility, diet and food preparation and fostering healthy relationships. With on-site House Managers and support staff, Working Recovery’s sober living housing is a great transitional opportunity for aftercare.

A crucial component to a successful recovery from active addiction is having a safe, drug and alcohol free environment to call home.
